Casa Anjali - Terms and Conditions

 

Rates

 

Our prices and fees are quoted in U.S. dollars and will be charged either in US$ or in Costa Rican colones at the exchange rate on the transaction date.

Rates and fees are subject to change without notice until confirmed with payment by RENTER.

Rates are quoted without applicable taxes (currently 13.00% sales tax) at the time of reservation. Should the Costa Rican tax legislation change prior to check-in, the rates will be increased accordingly, and RENTER will have to pay the difference, even if the reservation has been fully paid in advance.

Rates are quoted on a per night, per week basis as noted. RENTER must inform CASA ANJALI of any changes to the number of people who will be staying at the Property.

Casa Anjali Costa Rica comes fully equipped with television(s), linens, towels, dishes and utensils and an all the supply of soap and paper goods.

 

Additional charges (not included in rate)

 

Rates do NOT include gratuities, out-of-country long-distance phone charges, transportation, car rental, food, beverages, liquor, laundry services, tours nor groceries.

 

Reservations and payments

 

Payment of the initial applicable 50% Rental Deposit amount together with a completed Guest Reservation Application must be received and approved by CASA ANJALI Costa Rica before a confirmation will be issued. No grace period will apply.

Final payment, consisting of the remaining balance, must be received by CASA ANJALI at the following dates:

o   High and Low Season: at least thirty (30) days prior to guest arrival (or immediately if booked less than thirty (30) days in advance of guest arrival).

o   Peak Season: at least 90 days prior to guest arrival (or immediately if booked less than ninety (90) days in advance of guest’s arrival).

Failure to make final payments on a timely basis will make reservation subject to automatic cancellation without refund.

Payments may be made by credit card, by bank deposit or international wire transfer (sorry, no checks).

All reservations must be made by an adult over the age of 21. A minimum of one person over the age of 21 for every two persons staying in the property is required. Reservations made under a false pretense will be subject to eviction and forfeiture of rent payment, fees and taxes.

 

Cancellations and refunds

 

Should RENTER wish to cancel a confirmed reservation, he or she must submit it in writing to CASA ANJALI. Cancellation of booking at any time after confirmation has been issued will result in forfeiture of deposit(s). In every cancellation, the Reservation Fee is forfeited, and a Cancellation Fee will apply. The Cancellation Fee will depend on the time left to arrival, season booked and length of stay. The Cancellation Fee is calculated as a percentage of the total rent and tax for the Booking, using the following percentages:

 

Green Season

50% if canceled thirty (30) days or less prior to arrival.

 

High Season, including Holy Week (variable dates within March and April):

50% if canceled forty five (45) days or less prior to arrival.

 

Christmas and New Year (December 18-January 7):​

50% if canceled sixty (60) days or less prior to arrival.

 

If a reservation spans more than one season, the highest cancellation fee applies.

 

Check-in / check-out

 

Check-in time is 3:00 pm

Check-out time 10:00 am

 

Failure to vacate the rental property on time will incur in one additional night charge. 

Early check-ins and late check-outs may be arranged depending upon availability. If granted, an early check in and late check-out will be charged as follows:

 

Early check In: $100

Late check out: $100 

 

Private chef service

 

2020

Private Gourmet Chef Services: $420 + tax per day*

Chef services include up to 2-meals per day. Normally breakfast and dinner.

A third meal (grab and go lunch) can be added for a cost of $ 210 + tax per day for the entire group. Most tours provide lunch.

Prior to arrival, guests notify our concierge of a chosen dinner (for when they arrive at the house), and a breakfast for the following morning from the Chef’s menu.

The Chef can accommodate any guests who have certain food allergies

 

2021

Private Gourmet Chef Services 2021: Included in rate*

Chef services include up to 2-meals per day. Normally breakfast and dinner.

* The Private Chef service does not  include the cost or purchase of groceries.

 

Occupancy

 

The total number of persons allowed in the property at any time is restricted to the stated limit as per number of rooms and beds available.

 

Occupancy: 14 guests

Minimum age: 8 years old

 

CASA ANJALI reserves the right to refuse entry or to expel persons not named as members of RENTER’S party. Eviction without refund is the penalty.

 

Rental conditions

 

We are very serious about maintaining a respectful atmosphere for the quiet enjoyment of all our guests. 
No minor’s sexual abuse or illegal substances will be tolerated on the property. Eviction without refund and the corresponding report to authorities will follow immediately.
Additional charges may apply. No catering, parties, weddings or gatherings are allowed without prior written permission from CASA ANJALI. 
No catering or outside music permitted without prior consent, additional charges may apply.


Owner or its agents may enter the property at reasonable times to make repairs or provide maid service.
Guest shall not permit any use of pools or hot tubs by unsupervised children or other people, and shall keep gates closed. Guest and other invitees shall use the pools and hot tubs at their own risk.

Guest acknowledges that the owner would not rent the property unless the Guest accepted this condition.

 

After hours emergencies

 

There is an agent on-call 24 hours a day for EMERGENCIES. Non-emergencies will be noted and handled the following day during office hours.

 

Renter responsibility

 

RENTER may not sublet the property.

RENTER is responsible for the property, its contents, and themselves during occupancy. Guests must always lock windows and doors securely. A safe box is provided in every master suite; please use it to leave passports, cash and other valuables. In Costa Rica, you can carry only a copy of your passport (information page and stamp page).

RENTER is responsible for ensuring that both themselves and all guests, whether they are registered in the rental unit or not, adhere to the policies in this agreement and to the rules and regulations affecting the building and/or community.

RENTER must immediately notify CASA ANJALI of fire or other damage to property.


RENTER shall not permit any use of pool or hot tub by unsupervised children or other guests and shall use such pool or hot tub at their own risk.


Furthermore, RENTER will release and hold harmless any and all parties involved with the rental, management, and reservations of the property and to release and hold harmless its owners or representatives for any loss or damage to personal property or for any injury and/or death.

RENTER agrees to carry insurance covering all of your personal property located in the unit or bear full responsibility for its damage including damage from fire, water, theft, or any cause. Neither CASA ANJALI, nor the property owner will be held responsible for:

- Acts of theft or vandalism or other damages to the guest’s personal items left in the property.

- Personal items left on the premises by guest upon departure.

 

Termination

 

CASA ANJALI reserves the right to cancel or rescind this rental agreement if it is found that the Guests are conducting unlawful activities, not abiding by the Home Owners Association or House Rules, disturbing others by playing loud music, percussion, audio or instruments, or cause any loud or offensive noises, have made any misrepresentations about the nature or size of the group, or the use of the property, or any other misrepresentations or any other way in breach of the rental agreement.

Upon violation of the terms of this agreement, CASA ANAJALI may terminate this agreement and enter said premises. Upon notice of termination, RENTER shall vacate the premises IMMEDIATELY.

 

Applicable law

 

All accommodations are governed by appropriate Costa Rica Laws and also Rules and Regulations that are applicable to said premises.

The parties agree to abide by Costa Rican law. Any conflict, dispute or disagreement, arising as a result of the interpretation, execution, breach, termination or liquidation of this Agreement, is to be settled through arbitration under the Center for Conflict Resolution of the Costa Rican American Chamber of Commerce in San José, Costa Rica, with unconditional submission to its norms and regulations as applicable at the moment of the conflict.
